As I am transitioning to pure ingredients in every area of my life, I am constantly searching for natural lines that use quality ingredients. As I learned more about the Josie Maran Cosmetics line I was excited to try it out. The sourced ingredients I read about such as Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Mango seed butter and more, are the type of natural yet effective ingredients I like to put on my skin.
I recently tried the 100% Pure Argan Oil and love it. It is extremely versatile with uses ranging from a daily facial serum or moisturizer to dry nail beds and hair. Although it is an oil, it is silky and easily absorbed, not greasy whatsoever. The best part is it is 100% organic! Since my entire body is terribly dry right now with this weather I have tried this oil all over and love the texture and hydrating effect.
I also love the simple and Eco-friendly packaging. You can tell this company has great pride in taking care of the environment and giving back, which you can read about on their website. The product packaging is recyclable and containers are biodegradable. Josie Maran’s motto for her brand is “Luxury With A Conscience.” Love it!
I can’t wait to try the cosmetics and color from this line, I will be sure to share what I try out!
I have to say Fall is my favorite season, wearing boots, dressing up for Halloween, cooler weather, too many reasons to count. Another to add to the list is to bust out my new favorite red nail polish I just bought from Butter London. I love this metallic red, it is so rich in color. I love the finish on my toe nails.
Butter’s products are formulated without the use of the harmful ingredients like Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP or Parabens and was the first company to sell non-toxic nail lacquer in the United States. The colors to choose from are amazing check out the ButterLondon website for more.
Smell you later summer! Oh wait..it’s 100 degrees out…bullocks.
I could write a small book of praise regarding my stay at Le Blanc Spa Resort and the total blissful experience my husband and I shared for our honeymoon. However, this is a blog so I will do my best to keep it short although I want to share every last heavenly detail. In the past I have traveled extensively for my jobs with different luxury brands and have experienced many four and five star hotel spas so I was really picky when it came to my personal holiday (this choice took me almost as much time as planning my wedding!).
We chose Le Blanc in Cancun because it is a short (and direct) flight from LA, it is all inclusive, has an amazing spa and they really cater to honeymooners/couples. I had high hopes because I had done my research but was still completely blown away!
If you enjoy going to the spa on your vacation (and who doesn’t?!) you will not be disappointed. We spent quite a bit of time there (that is according to my husband-I could’ve gone every day), each service we experienced was amazing. The staff was highly trained and the facility was spectacular. I loved the water wall, foot massage station and the co-ed relaxation room. The fitness area is state of the art and there is a classroom where you could take yoga, reformer pilates and even personal training sessions (ALL included). We did it all, even a sunset yoga class overlooking the water. At least starting the day in the gym made me feel better about lunch time Bloody Marys and 7 course gourmet dinners paired with wine.
We stayed for 2 weeks and I was STILL sad to leave-it really felt like home. If you are looking for a destination resort for a special occasion please check out Le Blanc Spa Resort. We would have spent quadruple what we spent for the value of our stay. It was truly an experience I will never forget and one I think of often.

I can not say enough about the Dolphin Bay Resort and the spa La Bonne Vie. We went for a weekend getaway, perfect for anyone in Southern California. The central coast is far enough that I felt I was away but I did not have to get on a plane. The first thing we did after check-in was go straight to the spa to book my appointments. It was small, had a shabby chic beachy feel and felt very inviting. I booked a facial the first morning and a massage the next. I promise you I would have made more appointments but my husband had that “really?” look on his face. I loved my Decleor facial, my esthetician was amazing and I tried hard not to fall asleep. My skin glowed the rest of the weekend.
One of the best perks about this spa is that they are always having specials on treatments and sometimes even products. Everything in the spa was 20% off that weekend and the prices are already so low for a resort property!
It was the perfect weekend really. I mean, waking up to a spa treatment, wine tasting in beautiful Edna Valley, eating gourmet food on a cliff over looking the coastline. La Bonne Vie? Yes it is.
You might be wondering why a skin care blogger is talking about fashion. I believe they both accomplish similar things by making you look and feel more beautiful. With that said, I love fashion and when someone tells me my outfit looks “cute” it really makes me smile. Lately I haven’t been hearing much of that. With a several….ahem…more pounds to lose from my pregnancy not all of my “cute” outfits are looking so cute. And as much as I love fashion it has never come natural for me. I know what I like when I see it, but have always had a hard time putting it together. I am the girl who has to buy exactly what the manequin is wearing-piece by piece.
Lucky for me, my friend Tracy has created a new blog dedicated to sharing her amazing eye for and love of fashion. Every time she posts I want the entire look down to her nail polish. The photos are taken so artfully with beautiful backdrops and Tracy herself is stunning.
Oh and this is not a site dedicated to clothing that is impossible to afford, some of her favorite finds are so reasonably priced you will find it hard to believe. If you are like me you might wonder how she finds these items-I never do when I am shopping at H & M! Click on her services section-she will even make a housecall to help you find what works in your own closet or take a personal shopping field trip.
You will love the site, love Tracy and her passion. I am certainly inspired!
I used to go to the nail salon much more often before the little cutie came along. I was looking for a nail shine buffer for my fingernails because I cannot paint my nails to save my life. I found Revlon Crazy Shine Nail Buffer and it works! I could not believe how shiny my fingernails looked, it was amazing. You can even shine polished nails. I love the shape too. You can pick it up at most drugstores and find it around $2.99.
